Peculiarities of working with children – victims of violence
The 2-day training “PECULIARITIES OF WORKING WITH CHILDREN – VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE” took place on May 22 – 23, 2013. The training was organized by IOM Minsk for direct service providers – representatives of the NGOs and IOM Rehabilitation Centre – working with victims of trafficking/violence (including children). The event was organized with the financial support of Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
The training was held by a highly qualified international expert, ECPAT International and Senior Teacher, PhD in Sociology, entitled to train personnel of state, international and non-governmental organizations working with victims of violence including victims of trafficking.
The participants of the training enhanced their knowledge in the field of prevention of trafficking/violence; rehabilitation of children involved in sexual violence and exploitation. The participants were provided with the skills for handling such cases through case studies, presentations, group work, interactive discussions, group exercises, etc.
