IOM delegation meets Ukrainian Customs to discuss joint EU-funded PRINEX project’s recent developments and upcoming events

IOM Minsk Chief of Mission Mr. Zeynal HAJIYEV and Deputy Minister of Revenue and Duties Mr. Vasiliy NAUMENKO met to discuss PRINEX project progress and follow-up steps. The meeting took place on April 25 in Kyiv, Ukraine and was hosted by the Deputy Minister and senior customs officials of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine. Both parties provided updates on the recent developments and assured each other of a future support in implementing ongoing PRINEX project actions. Mr. NAUMENKO informed about the plans of the Ukrainian Custom’s Agency to follow the path of modernization of customs legislation including advancement of risk analysis techniques and minimization of human factor in customs service daily operation. Mr. HAJIYEV provided MRDU representatives with the detailed information about PRINEX project as well as with the other relevant IOM joint Belarus-Ukraine regional initiatives.
