David Halili

18.12.2014 | Filed under: What Migrants Bring

IT’S ALWAYS DIFFICULT TO START A NEW LIFE IN A NEW COUNTRY FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. BUT I MANAGED TO DO THIS

David Halili

David came to Belarus in 2003. He left his motherland, Iran, due to political reasons. But before he decided to stay in Belarus he had been to Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Ukraine and many European countries.

Answering the question why he chose Belarus for living, he says that every country has its advantages and disadvantages, but out of all countries he’s been to, his life in Belarus he likes most of all, despite the lack of knowledge of Russian. As he says, in our country live very helping, open-hearted and positive people.

In Belarus David built his family. His wife is the teacher of Russian at the Belarusian State University. He has two sons: this the first year when his eldest one goes to school and learns to play the piano and violin. Having lived here for 10 years, David doesn’t forget his Iranian roots and traditions of his culture: his home is Iran itself in small. David is always glad to treat his guests and friends with a traditional Iranian dish. Of course he likes Belarusian dishes as well, that’s why he and his wife always set the table in keeping with the highest traditions of Belarusian and Iranian cultures.

Today Davi Halili – is a successful businessman who definitely doesn’t think of moving to another country.
