MIA LogoMinistry of the Interior (MoI) – the state law-enforcement authority heading the police and interior troops, responsible for combating crime, sustaining public order and security etc.

 

AMIA LogoAcademy of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Belarus is a place where The International Training Center for Migration and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (ITC) was opened on July 19, 2007. The establishment of the ITC came as a joint initiative of the Government of Belarus and International Organization for Migration. The ITC was set up as a practical follow-up to a number of state’s initiatives, announced at the International Conference “Trafficking in Women and Girls: the Joint Answer to the Challenge”, organized at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, on March 5, 2007.

SBC LogoState Border Committee of Belarus (SBC) is the national government body which implements the state border policy, ensuring border security, regulation and control in this area, coordinating the activities of public authorities and other organizations in the field of state border policy and border security.

MFA LogoMinistry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) – governmental authority of the Republic of Belarus, responsible for the coordination of foreign policy and foreign economic activities of the country.

MoH LogoMinistry of Health of the Republic of Belarus – a republican body of the state administration subordinated to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. In its activity the Ministry of Health aims at the implementation of a state policy in the field of public health, provision of medical care, provision of the state-guaranteed free medical care at the state health care institutions, preventive activities, formation of healthy lifestyle, public health education, provision of favourable sanitary-and-epidemiological conditions for the population, continuous improvement of the quality of medical care as well as the increase of its efficacy.

MoIMinistry of Information of the Republic of Belarus – governmental authority that generates and implements the state policy in the field of media, publishing, printing and book distribution. The Ministry of Information is subject to the Council of Ministers. The Ministry of Information acts as the state regulator in the field of communication and dissemination of information in the Republic of Belarus.

MoE LogoMinistry of Education of the Republic of Belarus is a republican organ of government which pursues governmental policies in the field of education, provides regulation, management and governmental monitoring in the sphere of education as well as coordination of the related activities performed by the republican organs of government. The Ministry is subordinate to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, to which it is responsible for performing the tasks assigned and organizing the operation of the lower organizations.

SCC LogoState Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus implements the state customs policy, provides regulation and control in the field of customs, coordinates other central government bodies and organizations in this field, protects, within their competence, the economic security of the Republic of Belarus and its economic interests, provides development and application of customs regulations in order to develop trade and economic relations of the Republic of Belarus, provides organization and improvement of customs control and customs clearance, creation of conditions conducive to expediting goods through the customs border of the Republic of Belarus etc.

MLSP LogoMinistry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus is a republican body of state administration which pursues state policies in such spheres as labour, occupational safety and health, employment, social insurance, pension security, demographic security, social partnership, state social services and social care, equal rights and opportunities for men and women. The Ministry provides organizational, technical and informational support to the National Population Committee of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the National Interagency Council on Disability Affairs. The Ministry also provides organizational, legal and methodological support to the Interagency Commission for the Elderly, War Veterans and Victims. The Ministry carries out international cooperation in the spheres mentioned above.

Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus heads the general court system and is the highest judicial body which administers justice in civil, criminal and administrative cases, oversees the judicial activities of the general courts and performs other functions in accordance with the legislation.

The Belarus Red Cross societyThe Belarus Red Cross Society is a republican public association recognized as the only Red Cross national society in the Republic of Belarus, which provides assistance to the state in humanitarian efforts all over the country. The Belarusian Red Cross Society is part of the International Red Cross and the Red Crescent Movement and a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

“Belorussian Young Women Christian Association” of Gomel protects the rights and legitimate interests of young women, assists to disclosure of personal potential of young women in a society, moral-spiritual revival of a society. Main objectives include revival of a moral and cultural life, formation and development of female business in an order established by legislation, participation in women related programmes, assistance to the protection of the environment, contribution to the development of national culture.

Regional Branch of the Public Association «Belorussian Young Women Christian Association” of Smorgon operates in the field of protection of rights and legitimate interests of young women, assistance in disclosure of personal potential of young women in society, spiritual/moral revival of the society. Its main objectives include revival of moral and cultural life, distribution of moral standards in a society: kindness, mercy, compassion, mutual understanding and mutual support, development of contacts between Belarus women and women from foreign countries, assistance in the development of labor skills of women, participation in the programs directed at the improvement of health for the population, assistance to the protection of the environment, assistance to the development of a national culture.

“Business Womem Club” Brest, with affiliated associations located in Pinsk, Kobrin and Baranovichi, works in the field of protection of the lawful women’s rights and interests, contribution to the social formation and improvement of the status of a woman in society, prevention of trafficking in human beings, widening economic opportunities of Belarus’ women, prevention and elimination of violations of women and children, prevention of HIV/AIDS among women of sex-business and among youth.

City Public Association «Club of business women “South-west” of Pinsk is an association of women-professionals of all fields of activity on the basis of a generality of interests for joint realization of civil, economic, social and cultural human rights according to a state policy. Involved in information-legal aid and psychological support to women in the decision of vital problems (family, life, health, formation, career), creation of the conditions promoting personal realization of women in public life, assistance to authorities in realization of government programs on education and youth vocational guidance, family support, protection of physical and mental health, morals strengthening.

Minsk Public Socially Educational Association “BRIZ” carries out educational and social work directed at the decrease of the level of vulnerability of youth and elderly persons. Is active in the field of combating trafficking in human beings, carrying out lectures, exhibitions etc.

Inter confessional Mission ”Christian Social Service"Inter confessional Mission “Christian Social Service” operates in the field of development of inter churches network and contribution to inter church dialogue at national and international levels, monitoring of social problems, elaboration and implementation of joint social and spiritually educational programmes and projects, provides methodological assistance to the organizations engaged in social service.

Belarusian Movement of Medical Workers implements UNHCR Belarus project “Refugee Counselling Service”, operates in the field of solution of the problem of social assistance for the nationals of the Republic of Belarus affected by the Chernobyl disaster, orphaned children, handicapped persons, refugees and migrants.

Public Association “Kobrin Business Women Club “BONA” is an association of women professionals of Kobrin and region for the joint implementation of civil, economic, social and cultural events, assistance to women in changing economical conditions, cooperation with the state and public organizations in the elaboration and adoption of programmes aimed at the protection of women rights, formation of the positive image of a woman-entrepreneur, and a woman-professional, establishment of partnership with women NGOs in Belarus and abroad.

Borisov Women Public Association “Provintsyia” provides support and assistance to people, who are victims of domestic violence and trafficking in human beings, assists in the legal education of women and youth.

Children not for violenceCity Public Association on Prevention of Atrocious Treatment of children “Children – not for violence” contributes to the implementation of the rights of children in order to protect them from all types of exploitation, physical and psychological violence, cruel and abusive treatment, sexual exploitation and sexual pervertions, including by parents, guardians, or relatives.

International NGO "Ponimanie"International NGO “Ponimanie” operates in the field of professional and voluntary participation in the establishment of a more humane world, suitable for all children, including stranded, contributes to maternity, childhood, fatherhood, strengthens the family’s reputation in the society, works to prevent violence and neglection of children.

Gender Perspectives Eng Logo

NGO “Gender Perspectives” aims to promote gender equality through the implementation of social programs in order to prevent gender-based violence, including the prevention of human trafficking, domestic violence, discrimination at working place, sexual harassment.
LaStrada Logo From 2011 NGO became a member of the International Association “La Strada” and administers “La Strada Belarus programme” aims to prevent trafficking in human beings in Central and Eastern Europe.
